We are delighted that The Pickaquoy Centre is due to host 5 out of the 12 sports throughout the duration of the 2025 International Island Games This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, which promises to bring great excitement and a sense of community to Orkney.

The Orkney Caravan Park (based at the Pickaquoy Centre) will remain open throughout the games however the Pickaquoy Centre will undergo a staggered closure for public usage starting from Monday 7th July. Our Main Arena, Athletics Track and Infield/Outfield pitches, will be closed from Monday 7th of July. Thereafter, on Wednesday 9th July, the remainder of the facility will close for public use, including our Pools, Gym, S&C Gym, Group X Studios, Squash Courts, Soft Play Area, Bouldering Cave and The Phoenix Cinema.

The Picky Café will remain open for the duration of the Games and will have extended opening hours throughout.

Normal operations will resume on Sunday, 20th July.

Road Closures

Please be aware that there will be a road closure on Friday 18th July from 08:00 – 11:45 that will directly prevent access to and from the Campsite during this time. Campsite residents are advised to plan accordingly. All events for the Orkney Island Games will be free for public spectators to attend.
